Another Adventure.....

Okay, you are thinking, what is she up to again? Doesn’t she have enough things to do? Well, I am going to tell you. Capturing memories and moments of life with photographs and words is pretty important to me. That’s why I scrapbook (when I have the time). I want Kelly and Peggy to have documentation about their lives growing up for them to share with their kids someday or to jog their memory about a funny story or some fashion statement that they had. To “scrapbook” I need to have a chunk of time to put together some pictures and a story with some pretty papers and embellishments. This usually takes awhile because I have a difficult time choosing “just” the right papers to go with the story and the photos and then to decide how to put it all together to make it look pleasing to the eye and inviting to read and look at. This is where my new adventure comes into play.
I committed myself to taking an online class called “Blogging for Scrapbookers” (Hello fellow classmates that found your way here!). Yep, I know that I have been blogging for about a year-but not consistently. I have done a pretty good job pairing stories with photos that I have taken and I have even taken these stories and photos and made scrapbook pages out of them. This class is about how blogging and scrapping go hand in hand. During the course of this class I will be given prompts to “blog about”. So let me start with the first prompt.
Prompt 1: Paving our way to new pastures. What are your goals and intentions of taking this class?
I decided to take this class to help me blog better. During this class I hope to find a “blogging” groove, more consistent posting. I want to use my blog as a “memory keeper” of sorts-so while the memories and stories are still fresh, I want to try to get them down to scrap later. I want to be able to “find” or refine my writing voice, become a better writer and story teller. What else? I want family and friends to enjoy coming to my blog to see what is happening in our life. I may not blog every day, but I hope to at least twice a week. There, I have put it out there for the world to see. My goals for this latest adventure.
Feel free to leave a comment so that I will know someone is reading.

You rock, Ann! Yep, your kids will have nice memories and we can see that you have a passionate past-time. I wish you could come to my house and and go through my ginormous (sp?) box of pictures and sort them and scrap them for me. That could be another side business for you. He he. I just have no desire to do it. Pretty sad, huh?
